Ritestart Limited served as General Contractor for the construction of a new pre-engineered steel storage building at the Bowmanville Water Supply Plant.
The approximately 223 m² single-storey facility was designed to support plant operations with durable, low-maintenance storage space. The building features insulated metal wall panels, a standing-seam metal roof system, a reinforced concrete raft foundation and slab-on-grade with under-slab insulation, and associated site works including asphalt paving extension, grading, drainage improvements, and restoration.
Construction was completed on an active municipal water treatment plant site, requiring careful coordination of foundation work, building erection, and civil improvements while maintaining plant operations and site access. All work was executed in accordance with the Region’s standards, the Ontario Building Code, and the project geotechnical recommendations.
The completed building provides the Regional Municipality of Durham with a functional, efficient storage facility that supports the ongoing operations of the Bowmanville Water Supply Plant.
