Ritestart Limited completed the construction of a new approximately 23,500 sq. ft. pre-engineered warehouse facility at Kinectrics’ 800 Kipling Avenue campus in Etobicoke.
The work included site preparation, pavement removal and grading, excavation and foundation construction, erection of the pre-engineered building, office mezzanine, doors, windows and loading docks, and associated civil and site restoration. The scope also included new electrical, plumbing and fibre services, HVAC and electrical systems, equipment and material procurement, utility connections, and testing and commissioning. Environmental requirements were incorporated throughout, including excess soil management and construction associated with the building’s vapour mitigation system.
The project was delivered within Kinectrics’ active industrial campus and required careful coordination of construction access, site security, existing underground services, excavation activities, and ongoing facility operations. Ritestart managed the multidisciplinary civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work through building completion, commissioning, and turnover. Particular attention was required for subsurface and environmental conditions, including soil management in accordance with Ontario excess soil requirements and measures addressing potential vapour intrusion.
