The West-End Community Centre (WECC) is a fully accessible, multi-purpose community centre that has a full range of facilities including an aquatic centre with 3 individual pools, a sauna, change rooms, a twin-pad arena, a gymnasium, community meeting rooms, a cafe and a library (located at 21 Imperial Rd., Guelph).
Work at the WECC included the removal and replacement of all tile grout within the aquatic centre and change rooms, localized repairs of various tiles, removal of existing lockers and installation of new lockers within three changerooms, and structural reinforcement of existing masonry walls.
The Sleeman Centre is a 4,715 seat multi-purpose facility located at 50 Woolwich Street in Guelph. It hosts concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conferences, and is home to the Guelph Storm of the OHL.
Work at the Sleeman Centre involved structurally reinforcing the existing masonry walls within change rooms, localized repairs to masonry, and the addition of firestopping protection. BJC Architects acted as the consultant on this project.
